Six killed, 27 injured in two separate road-accidents

HARIPUR: Four persons were killed and seventeen injured when a bus traveling from Mansehra to Lahore lost control during a turn and collided against a wall.

According to sources, the collision took place on Haripur GT Road near Panian due to over speeding of the bus (No. JA-9440) that resulted in the death of four passengers at the spot and injuries to seventeen out of which four are reported to be in a critical condition.

The deceased were identified as Muhammad Sadiq s/o Hamidullah resident of Abbottabad, Muhammad Jamil s/o Mohmand Ali resident of Mansehra, Shafique-ul-Rehman s/o Ghulam Nabi resident of Balakot Mansehra, Ghazanfar Butt s/o Muhammad Anwar Butt resident of Mansehra.

The four seriously injured passengers were rushed to the Ayub Medical Complex.

Two killed, ten injured in wagon-coaster collision in Muzaffargarh

Meanwhile, two passengers including an unknown woman were killed while ten others injured after a wagon collided head on with a coach near Chenab bridge, some 30 kilometres off here in Muzaffargarh.

Police said, the wagon was coming towards Multan from Muzaffargarh while the coaster was heading towards Muzaffargarh when they collided just a few yards away from police picket after the wagon crossed the Chenab bridge.

The unknown woman died instantly while another passenger Qasim Siddiqui breathed his last at Nishtar Hospital Multan. Four to five injured passengers were discharged from Muzaffargarh hospital after getting medical treatment while five others were referred to Nishtar Hospital.

Injured admitted to Nishtar Hospital included Gulzar Mai, Muhammad Zafar, Akram and Abdul Jabbar, police said.
