LONDON (United
Kingdom): Secretary Information All Jammu
Kashmir Muslim
Conference and ex-Advisor to the AJK government, Fida Hussain
Kiyani Tuesday questioned India for branding Kashmiri freedom
movement as terrorism, saying 'India itself was perpetrating
terrorism'.
"India is the chief terrorist. It has kept Kashmiris from
getting their inalienable right of self-determination by
slapping 0.8 million army in the held Kashmir. Permanent and
durable solution can be hammered out by taking into stock the
aspirations of the people of Kashmir", said Fida Hussain
Kiyani while addressing a reception, hosted in his honour by
Sardar M Arshed Khan President AJK Muslim Conference in West
London. Mr Mahmood Riaz
President AJKMC (UK Chapter), Syed Hussain Shsheed Sarwar
Advocate also addressed the event.
Speaking on the occasion Fida Kiani deplored that Kashmiris
were denied their right to self-determination at the time of
partition, saying that colonial rulers were also part of the
conspiracy, as they backed Indian army to tresspass into the
Himalayan State by force.
He said that the two South Asian nuclear rivals had fought
three wars due to the unresolved issue of Kashmir, which he
said continued to be the key irritant for perils to peace in
South Asia.
The Information Secretary of AJKMC maintained that the big
world powers must address Kashmir issue, warning that a
perilous course in the region could eventually cause colossal
human loss.
"International community should help resolve the issue.
Peace-loving forces across the world should coarse India to
stop employing repressive tactics in the valley and allow
Kashmiris their fundamental right of self-determination," he
asserted.
The ex-Advisor questioned the credibility of, what he phrased
as: 'the so-called exponents and champions of global peace,
who on the one hand talked of working for establishment of
peace while on the other were evading their influence to
liberate the suffering Kashmiris.
Commending the role of expatriate Pakistanis in highlighting
the Kashmir cause, he urged them to play still more effective
role in making the world become cognizant of Indian atrocities
in the held Kashmir.
The President of Muslim Conference UK, Mehmood Riaz said it
was beyond Indian might to stop Kashmiris from seeking their
right of self-determination. India could not quell freedom
struggle despite its hefty military might and high-handedness,
he remarked.
He said that Muslim Conference was trying to forge a zestful
understanding on Kashmir in its historical and realistic
perspective in UK and Europe. It is high time that the world
learnt that there was no relationship between Kashmir freedom
movement and terrorism--in any mode n' manner, he observed.
