3 killed, 19 arrested by Indian troops in Occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have martyred another three Kashmiris during their ongoing acts of state terrorism.

One of them was shot dead during a fake encounter in Gool area of Udhampur district. A youth was killed during so-called search operation in Mahore area of the same district. Dead body of a man Nazir Hussain has been recovered form his room in Pampore area of Pulwama district.

A 12th class student, Ghulam Mohiuddin of Sopore has been missing since November 11, 2003 but no one knows of his whereabouts. He was arrested by police while returning from school, in a hospital.

A special Police Officer, Rajeev Singh who was seriously injured in an attack in Pulwama has succumbed to his injuries.

A police informer was killed at Qamarwari Chowk in the outskirts of Srinagar while another Indian armed agent was found dead at his house in Chatroo.

Police arrest 19 youth

Meanwhile, Police arrested 19 youth from Batapora and Tanga Chattar in Kangan.

Police stationed at Ganderbal main market rounded up the 19 youth of the area. They were then beaten in public and were later taken along to unknown location.

Those arrested include Imtiaz Ahmad Shaikh, Merajuddin Khan, Muhammad Abid Butt and Abdul Hamid Ganai. Residents of the area said the youth were arrested without any provocation.

The parents of the 12 out of the 19 youth have lodged an FIR at Kangan police station.
