Five Killed, Four injured in Road Accidents

KASUR: Three persons were killed and three others injured critically in a head-on collision between a car and a bus at 'Bhoay Aasal Mor' on Chhanga Manga Road here on Sunday. 

Muhammad Ilyas alongwith his family was going to Lahore from Chhanga Manga in his car. When his car reached 'Bhoay Aasal Mor' on Changa Managa road, when it collided head-on with a bus (FDA-5595) coming from opposite direction.

As a result car riders Muhammad Ilyas, Rabia Bibi and Farah died on the spot while Iqbal Begum and her three children Shazia, Abdullah and Mano received injuries. They were shifted to General hosptial Lahore in serious condition.

The ill-fated family was returning to Lahore after eid holidays.

Two killed in Nowshera Virkan Mishaps

A report from Nowshera Virkan says brother and sister were killed while their other brother sustained injuries in a road accident on Nowshera Virkan-Budha Goria road on Sunday.

Reportedly, deceased Khalid along with his brother and sister from Misri Miani were going on a motorbike to visit their relatives in a nearby village. When they reached 'Khooni Puli Chowk', their two-wheeler collided with a speedy car.

As a result Khalid and his sister died on spot while their other brother received serious injuries. He was admitted to civil hospital Gujranwala.

Civil Judge killed in Ambush

Meanwhile a Civil Judge of Jhang was killed and his wife wounded after his car was ambushed by unidentified gunmen in village Shah Naqdar of Salanwali Tehsil on Sunday.

The civil judge, Chaudhry Mushtaq Ahmad, was coming to Jhang to resume his duties after Eid holidays, along with his family when the incident occurred. His injured wife was identified as Naseem Akhtar.
