Four killed in Indian Held-Kashmir Violence as Hurriyat leader booked

SRINAGAR (Indian Held-Kashmir): In occupied Kashmir, the troops martyred 4 more Kashmiris in their interminable acts of state terrorism, at different places.

The troops blasted two houses at Shampora, in Qazigund area of Islamabad district and two dead bodies were recovered from the debris. Another innocent person was tortured to death by troops at Braripathri, in Charare-e-Sharif area of Budgam district.

A dead body was recovered from Mandnart, in Rafiabad area of Baramulla district. The local people believe the victim was killed by troops.

Unidentified gunmen shot dead a worker of the puppet regime Chief Minister's People Democratic party (PDP), in Kishtwar area of Doda district.

Hurriyat leader booked under black law

The APHC leader and Chairman of the Democratic Political Movement, Firdous Ahmad shah, who was arrested by police in Srinagar, has been booked under the draconian Public Safety Act.

There is no report so far of any incrimination charge leveled against the illegally detained leader.

Firdous Ahmad Shah, who was kept under confinement at Kothibagh police station, Srinagar, has been shifted to Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu.

3 persons including teacher arrested

Meanwhile in Jammu, a Government teacher and a close relative of a junior police officer were arrested in Billawar-Basohli-Bani belt in Kathua district on fake charges.

The police officer, whose kin has been arrested on the pretext of having links with Mujahideen has been kept under surveillance and his arrest is imminent, police sources said. They said, a Government teacher, Master Hafeez, a resident of village Phinter in Billawar tehsil and presently posted in a Government school at Machaidi Katli, was arrested from Billawar.

A teen-aged boy, Taurez Ahmad, was arrested by the police in Akhnoor. He was sent to the Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC) after his preliminary questioning. Taurez Ahmed, 12, is a resident of Poonch.
