Brute force used against demonstrators in India Held-Kashmir

SRINAGAR (Indian Held-Kashmir): The Indian troops resorted to brute force to disperse a demonstration at Aabi Guzar.

The demonstrators were lathi (baton) charged who were protesting against the arrest of APHC leader and the Chairman of Democratic Political Movement, Firdous Ahmed Shah. They were prevented from proceeding towards United Nations' office to present a memorandum.

The acting Chairman of Democratic Political Movement, Bashir Ahmed Andrabi was arrested along with three dozen activists. The leader of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Javed Ahmed Mir was also arrested along with his five associates in Hazratbal area of Srinagar today.
