Death toll in Thursday's Blasts steps up to 17, 52 injured

RAWALPINDI: The number of those killed in Thursday’s assassination attempt has soard up to 17 while 52 are injured, said a report on Friday.

Four cops and as many as twelve injured were brought General Hospital Rawalpindi.

Amongst injured were Inspector Shabir Hussein Shah, Sub-Inspector Sheer Zaman Niazi and Constable Sultan Mehmood, while out of the four deceased two were not identified when this report was being filed.

Seven other corpses and nineteen people injured were transported to District Head Quarter Hospital Ralwalipindi. Out of seven killed, three were identified as Constable Mohammad Siddique, Nasir Mehmood and a citizen Sajjad Akber.
