Pakistan to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha on February 2

QUETTA: Zilhajj moon was not sighted any where in the country on Thursday, Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan Mufti Muneebur Rehman announced here while chairing a meeting of the Committee.

Eid-ul-Azha will therefore be celebrated on Monday, February-2, 2004.

Mufti Muneeb said that no 'sharai' evidence was received from any part of the country therefore the first Zilhajj of 1424 Hijra will be on January 24 and Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated throughout the country on February 2.

The meeting was attended by members of the Central Committee including Maulana Qari Abdul Rasheed, Mufti Mohammad Arif Saeedi, Maulana Sabir Ahmed Kakakhail and members of Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Anwarul Haq, Member Pir Naqeebullah, Syed Abdul Hannan Shah and Maulana Abdul Wahid as well as Director Met office Quetta and Chief Administrator Auqaf Balochistan.
