Curfew in Badipora
In occupied Kashmir undeclared curfew has been imposed in
Bandipora town and some villages adjacent to it. The curfew
was imposed after forceful demonstrations in the town against
Indian army's using Kashmiri youth as human shield during
their clashes with Mujahideen.
Reports say that five innocent youth got martyred when Indian
army personnel used them as shields in their encounter with
Mujahideen in a village of Banidpore. Thousands of enraged
people from many villages of Bandipore converged on the town
today chanting anti India slogans, when dead bodies of the
martyred five youth were handed over to their relatives.
The troops resorted to heavy lathi-charge, excessive
tear-gassing and aerial firing to disperse the demonstrators.
