He out rightly rejected the idea of the collective market, defense and open trade between Pakistan and India. "Trade with India could adversely affect Pakistan’s economy”, he argued.

Likewise, he categorically rejected the ideas of introducing joint currency and trade ties between Pakistan and India. He said that all such 'conspiracies are aimed at dissolving the unique identity of Pakistan'. “How could we stop the (enormous) deficit financing by India if New Delhi hideously gets into such a ploy to give a jerk n' jolt to our national economy?", Sardar Qayyum asked.

He was of the view that 'economic conditions of Pakistan could be seek a setback and the economy of our country could face perils as an upshot of the joint trade ties with India in an environ, whereby nothing is ought to be feasible sans the solution of the Kashmir dispute.'

Sardar Qayyum said; 'we should keep in view Pakistan’s existing position in the international market.'

India's cute n' cunning Mindset

The AJKMC supreme head said; 'we should, simultaneously, remain alert of the cunning and negative approach of India.'

Speaking about the process of talks between Pakistan and India, commencing from February-16, the Kashmiri leader said that "both the countries are ought to discuss in the course of dialogue as how and when they contemplate to invite Kashmiris in the process of the talks for the settlement of Kashmir issue."

Illicit Benefit

Sardar Qayyum said that 'India was trying to accrue illicit n' illegitimate benefit of the Confidence Building Measures [CBMs] plus the peace-loving approach of Pakistan.'

He said that 'Paradoxically, their has, as yet, been no perceptible achievement towards the settlement of Kashmir issue, ever-since the unilateral overtures, marked by love n' sincerity by Pakistan vis-à-vis an amiable setting in South Asia with a zest for normalization of relations with India via settlement of all outstanding issues especially the core issue of Kashmir.'

Laments Fencing of LoC

Sardar Qayyum censured to the continual surfacing of barbed wire fence by India along the LoC and said; 'it is a blatant and flagrant violation of all the international laws including the UN resolutions on Kashmir.

He said that Pakistan had given all concessions to India because of Islamabad's peace-loving approach 'as it sincerely wants the resolution of all outstanding issues including Kashmir in a peaceful style.'

Qayyum was of the view that 'these concessions and relief by Pakistan had better benefited India as compared to Pakistan.'

Global Pressure

The Kashmiri leader said that global pressure by the world community for the early peaceful solution of Kashmir and other issues between Pakistan and India was, in fact, aimed at to avert the threat of 'a nuclear conflict' between the two countries, the perilous impact of which could travel beyond oceanic, rather than just confining to this region.'

'That is why', he observed, 'the world community was prepared to facilitate both the nuclear powers in the region for getting their differences explicitly Kashmir issue resolved in a peaceful way.'

Bus Service

Referring to the idea of introducing bus service on Muzaffarabad-Srinagar route, Sardar Qayyum said that 'all the natural routes between both sides of the line of control be restored to the pre-1956 position to enable the dis-jointed families to meet each other without any hazards.

He, however, said that only introduction of Muzaffarabad-Srinagar bus could not resolve the Kashmir problem.

Lauds Musharraf

Sardar Qayyum fully supported the policies of Pakistan by reposing full confidence in the policies of President Pervez Musharraf. “President Musharraf, by all perceptions is persuing the right direction", he remarked by adding; “I have full belief in the words n' pledges of President Musharraf on his bold and courageous stance on Kashmir issue”.

Qayyum said that the security and stability of Pakistan was always supreme and atop any other facet. “Pakistan’s interests are always held by me as paramount and nothing can be compromised on Pakistan's apex interests”, he added.

Formulas

To a question about the fate of diverse formulas including the much-publicized Chanab formula towards the settlement of Kashmir issue, Sardar Qayyum said that their was 'no validity of any formula including that of Chanab at present.'

He said that both Pakistan and India are stuck to their stated stance on Kashmir. He said that both Pakistan and India shall have to resolve the Kashmir issue through talks.

Locus Standai

To another question, Qayyum said that India had no locus standai or any right over the State of Jammu and Kashmir and that's why it did not ever enjoy any support from any segment of people in occupied Jammu Kashmir.

'Even Farooq Abdullah and the APHC’s Ansari faction could not be branded as pro-India – since no-one has any faith and belief on their 'newest pose', specifically when India was nastly involved in the massive killing of innocent Kashmiris' sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers in occupied Jammu and Kashmir to suppress their bona fide voice for freedom from the tyrranical Indian rule for well over five decades'.
