Eleven Killed, 25 injured in Kashmir road Mishap

JAMMU (India held-Kashmir): As many as eleven persons were killed and twenty five others injured, six of them seriously, when an overloaded metador skidded of the road and fell into a deep gorge at Batroo, about 180 kms from Occupied Jammu.

Police says, eight persons died on the spot and three breathed their last in the hospital.

The mishap occurred when the driver of the overloaded vehicle, which was on its way from Ukhral to Ramban, lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a curve, said a media report received here.

Rescue teams rushed to the site and extricated the dead and injured in the accident. The injured were initially rushed to hospital in Ramban from where six seriously injured were referred to Jammu for specialised treatment.
