Karachi Police Arrest accused involved in Terrorism

KARACHI: Police have arrested some terrorists who were involved in incidents of terrorism in the recent past in Karachi.

Police says that the accused arrested not only admitted their involvement in terrorist activities but also gave discloses about future possible planning for terrorist acts.

Police said that during interrogation, the investigators obtained useful information from them regarding terrorist's secret network.

The arrested accused disclosed that terrorists reportedly belonging to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi plan to create fear and scare through suicidal bomb blasts in Imambargahs and cause harm to Muslim's unity.

Unveil Plans

According to them, they have done planning for carrying out more cases of terrorism in a different way. They plan to use young age girls and women for suicidal attacks and have prepared some girls for this purpose mentally.

The accused told the investigators that these female suicide bombers will be sent with explosives in their school bag, under uniform or under burqa [Veil] to carry out blasts in women congregations or gatherings, particularly on Friday.

Strategy

Meanwhile, Karachi Police have chalked out its strategy to thwart all such plans and has held meetings with Ulema belonging to different sects, particularly those of Fiqah-e-Jafaria and informed them about the new planning by terrorists.

The Capital City Police Office held a meeting with Ulema belonging to Fiqa-e-Jafaria and briefed them about security measures taken by Karachi police. He requested for cooperation from Ulema and managements of Imambargahs and Mosques so that terrorist's new planning is not allowed to succeed.

The Ulema [Clerics] assured Karachi Police of their all out cooperation and said they would also suggest the managements of imambargahs and Mosques to adopt security measures at their own as well.

Two Caged for Attack on Karachi Corp Commander’s Motorcade

And another report says that the Karachi police has finally shown on record today the arrests of the two brothers Dr. Akmal Waheed and Dr. Arshad Waheed in a case pertaining to the attack on Karachi Corp Commander’s motorcade.

Karachi police chief, Tariq Jamil confirmed here today the arrests of the two brothers who had remained missing since June-17.

Perceptions of Police

As the police says, Dr. Akmal Waheed and his brother Arshad Waheed have been arrested this morning during a checking in Model Colony.

Police claims, “The car recovered from the accused is the one which was hired by earlier arrested Jindullah’s Amir, Ataur Rahman, which later on, had remained in their use.”

Police further said that the two brothers have been arrested in a case registered in Boat Basin police station relating to the attack on Karachi Corp Commander’s motorcade and they would be presented before the Anti-terrorist Special Court tomorrow.

It may be recalled that their father had got a case registered in Jackson police station on June 18 regarding their abduction.●
