550 Pakistani devotees attend Urs at Ajmer Sharif

ISLAMABAD: A group of 550 devotees have reached Ajmer Sharif from Pakistan to pay homage to Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA), the great mystic saint of all-times.

"We are here to attend the Urs of Ajmer Sharif. This is our religious matter. We are praying for people of both the countries," Deputy leader of Pakistani group Mian Muhammad Latif sain in an interview.

The Shrine of Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA) is considered as a symbol of spiritual harmony and satisfaction.

Pakistani Pilgrims face Problems in India


An earlier report had said that the Pakistani devotees visiting India to participate in the 792nd Urs of the great mystic saint of all times, Hazrat Khwaja Muin-ud-Din Chishti (RA), had to wait 20 to 24 hours at Attari railway station to board the special train for the Urs venue Ajmer city, via New Delhi.

Talking to relatives here by telephone, a Pakistani family disclosed that their special train which was due to depart for Delhi-Ajmer at 8.00 p.m. left Attari station at 5.00 p.m. next day, a 19-hour delay, while most passengers had been waiting hours earlier for official formalities.

Of Arrangements


They asserted that while the railways authorities were cooperative and friendly, there were no proper arrangements for food and other transit facilities for the stranded passengers, who had also to contend with the hot and humid weather.

Because of the delay, Pakistani visitors were denied a scheduled 12-hour visit of Delhi, and were forced to proceed directly to Ajmer Sharif after an hour's stop at Delhi railway station.

Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz (RA)

Almost over 500 Pilgrims from Pakistan will attend the annual Urs of the great mystic saint of all-times, Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti [RA], popularly known by his millions of devotees around the world as Hazrat Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz [RA] after a gap of almost five years.

The Urs of the spiritualist of great and grand status who is also the founder of the Chishtiya dynasty is scheduled to begins this week at Ajmer Sharif in India.

The pilgrims from Pakistan are expected to reach Ajmer Sharif on or by August-19.

The Author of Chishtiya Dynasty


Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti is held by the Muslims of South Asia and elsewhere in the world in extremely high esteem and respect as his life, teachings and the last abode in Ajmer Sharif has always been an origin of source of inspiration and strength for millions—all-over.

The Chishtiya dynasty initiated by the great saint with immense spiritualism marches through a chain of highly respected and admired mystic souls. Hazrat Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz [RA] who came to the soils of India came as Sultan-al Hind, a spiritual title.

The Links

The renowned religious scholar, Hazrat Khawaja Qutabuddin Bakhtiar Kaki [RA] was highly inspired by the visionary of the times and became his devotee.

Thereafter, the Chishtiya reign traveled to yet another spiritualist, Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar [RA] of Pak Pattan Sharif, a blessed soil in Pakistan. Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar [RA] was bestowed a great religious scholar’s knowledge by Hazrat Khawaja Qutabuddin Bakhtiar Kaki [RA] the moment he [Baba Sahib (RA)] became his devotee. The dynasty traveled onwards as Hazrat Khawaja Nizamuddin Aulia-e-Mehboob [RA] became a close follower of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar [RA].

The Shrines


While the shrine of Hazrat Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz [RA] is located in Ajmer Sharif, Hazrat Khawaja Qutabuddin Bakhtiar Kaki [RA] and Hazrat Khawaja Nizamuddin Aulia-e-Mehboob [RA] have their last abode in New Delhi in India while Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar [RA] rests till eternity on the soils of Pakistan at Pak Pattan Sharif.

A significant aspect, indexed in the books is that the fêted tributes, paid in Persian language; ‘Ganj Bakhsh-e-Faiz-e-Alam Mazhar-e-Noor-e-Khuda, Naqis’an Ra Peer-e-Kamil, Kamila’an Ra Rahna’ma’ which are inscribed at the mausoleum of the great mystic saint and disseminator of the message of Islam through his works, with ‘Kashaful Ma’ajoob’ atop, Hazrat Abul Hasan Ali Hajvairi [RA] respectfully addressed by his millions of devotees as Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh [RA] were the words of Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti [RA] after he paid a visit to the shrine of Hazrat Data Sahib [RA], did Chilla, before leaving for Ajmer Sharif to take-over his great status of Sultan-al Hind.

Millions of people from South Asia and even beyond oceanic visit the shrines of the great mystic saints and souls every year and get back to their dwellings after getting their valid desires and aspires having been fulfilled to the extent of their optimal satisfaction.

Arrangements


Reports from Ajmer Sharif say that all arrangements are being finalized for the observance of the Urs with traditional dignity and religious honor.

Like other sanctified tombs, exclusive arrangements are in the offing to provide best possible facilities to the pilgrims, who will be reaching Ajmer Sharif from every nook and corner of the world to pay respects to Hazrat Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz [RA] and to seek the blessings of Allah Almighty by praying at the shrine with the recitation of the Holy Quran, till the day the annual Urs comes to end, this year.

Visas for the pilgrimage for Pakistani visitors have been revived after a gap of five years.●
