Haryana Chief Minister visits Sodhra in Punjab

GUJRANWALA: The Indian delegation led by Chief Minister of Indian state of Haryana, Om Prakash Chautala Saturday visited village Sodhra in tehsil Wazirabad to pay homage to Hindu saint, Bhai Kanhaiya.

Addressing the ceremony held at the birth place of the Hindu saint, he said that the saint had worked for peace and we should follow his teaching to create the same environment in the region.

"Kanhaiya was the person who served human beings without caring for creed and religion ", Chautala said.

On this occasion, Chautala and other members of the delegation collected sacred water from village Sodhra which they would take to every nook and corner of the state of East Punjab Haryana.

Community Centre


He announced that Hayrana state would build a community centre at village Sodhra where local will settle their issues with mutual cooperation.

The Indian chief minsiter said that promotion of spirit of love, peace and friendship between the people of both the countries will prove landmark in the elimination of poverty and unemployment and ignorance from the two countries
.
District Nazim Fayyaz Ahmed Chattha, DIG Ch.Altaf Qamar, DCO Fazeel Asghar and Tahsil Nazim Warzirabad Shaukat Manzoor and other members of Indian delegation were also present on this occasion.

Earlier,on their arrival at village Sodhra the Indian delegation was accorded a warm welcome by the elite of the area.●
