Rocket attack kills two Men of Rangers

RAJANPUR: Rockets were fired over an under construction police checkpost near Rojhan area of Rajanpur killing two Rangers personnel whereas five others were injured in the attack Thursday.

The incident was occurred at the under construction police checkpost number 11 at Jatro adjacent to Punjab-Balochistan border area, Rajanpur police sources said.

Unknown terrorists fired rockets over the checkpost killing two Rangers men on the spot while five personnel were seriously injured and vacated to the district headquarters hospital Rajanpur.

Union Council Nazim shot dead

And a report from Lahore says; Union Council Nazim [Mayor] Haji Mohammed Akhter of Bohraan Kalaan, who was shot dead dead late Thursday night in Lahore, was buried in his native town near here Friday.

Police sources say, the deceased was in Millat Park area, Lahore along with his wife Nazia, when six armed men in a car opened indiscriminate fire on the couple.
The nazim was killed on the spot while his wife sustained injuries.

The Cause


There was an enmity between the deceased and the rival party since the last 10 years over the murder of his brother, said sources. The deceased leaves behind two daughters and a son.

A large number of prominent persons of the area attended the funeral prayers.

Meanwhile, Millat Park police have registered the case and identified three of the six culprits in the shooting as Faiz ur Rasul, Amanat Ali and Mohammad Asif. Three others are yet to be unidentified, while no arrest has been made so far.

Two Killed by Gunmen in Karachi

Unknown gunmen shot an dead Thursday one person, 30, in the jurisdiction of Sher Shah.

Police has started investigation into the murder.

Victim of Enemity


A man was killed and a woman injured on Friday morning when one Qari Shabir Ahmed opened fire on them in Neelam Colony in the Boat Basin police station jurisdiction.

Initial reports say, Anwar Ali 50, was killed and Haseena Bibi 40, was injured by the firing of Qari Shabir who was arrested by the police after the incident.

The Accused Admits


The accused told the police that he had arrived from Faisalabad yesterday to kill Haseena’s husband Akber Ali but mistakenly killed Akber’s brother Anwar Ali.

Police says, Hasina Bibi was shifted to Karachi from Faisalabad with her three children three years back and got married with Akber Ali.●
