Election Commission announces official results of NALC

GILGIT: Election Commission of Northern Area officially announced the results of Northern Areas legislative Council elections which were held on Oct 12.

According to results an Independent candidate Himayatullah was declared successful who bagged 5852 votes in NA 1 Gilgit I and his rival Sayed Raziuddin secured 4698 votes. In NA 2 Gilgit II Hafiz Hafiz-ur-Rehman of PML- N won with 4604 votes while his competitor Mohammad Musa of Pakistan Peoples party Parliamentarian got 4079 votes.

The Election Commission further announced that an Independent candidate Muzaffar Ali at NAIII was victorious with 4141 votes while his opponent candidate of PPPP Aftab Haider obtained 3945 votes. Mohammad Ali AKhtar of PPPP was successful in NA 4 Gilgit IV who bagged 3263 votes while his opponent, PML candidate, Shiekh Ghulam Haider obtained 2829 votes. Pakistan Muslim League candidate Mirza Hussain was successful in NA V Gilgit 5 who got 2345 votes while his opponent Mohammad Bilal who contested independently obtained 878 votes. In NA VI PML candidate Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan secured 8746 votes and his opponent Wazir Baig, of PPPP candidate, got 5216 votes.

According to Election Commission in NA 7 Skardu I Wazir Walayat Ali was declared successful who contested independently and obtained 2130 votes while his closest opponent Syed Mehdi Shah, PPPP got 1858 votes. Similarly, in NA 8 Skardu II Nisar Hussain from PPPP obtained 6961 votes and declared successful. His opponent from PMl Syed Mohammad Abbas secured 4748 votes.

Election Commission said former Deputy Chief Executive Fida Mohammaad Naushad was also declared successful on Constituency NA 9 Skardu III who acquired 4864 votes while his rival and independent candidate Wazir Shakeel secured 4677 votes. Similarly, a PML candidate was announced successful on NA 10 Skardu IV constituency who obtained 3791 votes and his opponent Wazir Hassan and independent candidate got 2150 votes. Syed Assad Shah Zaidi, an independent candidate was successful in Constituency NA 11 Skadru V who got 4767 votes and his opponent from PML syed Mohammad Ali Shah bagged 4235 votes and in NA 12 Skardu VI Imran Nadeem, was declared successful who bagged 7061 votes and his opponent Raja Azam Khan, an independent candidate obtained 5800 votes.

According to Election Commission in NA 13 Diamer I independent candidate Abdul Hameed defeated his rival Sahib Khan of PML and secured 5719 votes and his opponent got 4785 votes. It was announced that in Constituency NA 14 Diamer 2 another independent candidate Muzaffar Raily beaten PML candidate Mehboob Ali of PML and got 2719 votes while Mehboob Ali bagged 1817 votes. PPPP candidate Fidaullah defeated PMl candidate Bashir Ahmed at NA 15 Diamer III by bagging 2045 votes as his opponent obtained 1905 votes. In constituency NA 16 Diamer IVindependent candidate Abdul Qadoos defeated PML candidate HAji Janbaz Khan as he got 4753 votes and Janbaz Khan obtained 4167 votes. Another independent candidate Haider Khan was successful in Constituency NA 17 Diamer V as he got 2721 votes while his opponent of JUI candidate Rehmat Khaliq got 2258 votes. While in NA 18 Diamer VI Malik Miskeen, an independent candidate was successful as he bagged 2222 votes whereas his opponent from JUI Gulbar Khan got 1950 votes.

In Ghizer district Pir Karam lAi shah of PPPP candidate was successful in NA 19 Ghizer I as he bagged 5497 votes, His opponent Nawaz Kahn Naji an independent candidate has secured 3380 votes. In NA 20 Ghizer II Sultan madad of PML-N was declared successful who got 5975 votes and his opponent Sarfaraz Shah, PML candidate, obtained 2415 votes. In NA 21 Ghizer III Ghulam Mohammad of PPPP was successful with 4286 votes while his opponent Mohammad Ayub obatained 3768 votes and he contested independently.

Similarly, in Ghanche district election commission has announced that in NA 22 Ghanche I Mohammad Ibrahim Sanai, PML candidate was successful who bagged 6030 votes while his opponent from PPPP ,Mohammad Jaffar got 4849 votes. In NA 23 Ghanche II Mohammad Iqbal, an independent candidate obtained 5321 votes and declared successful while his opponent Ghulam Ali Haidri from PML bagged 4336 votes. In NA 24 Ghanche III constituency the PPP candidate Moahmmad Ismail defeated Mohammad Shafique of PML by securing 3880 votes and his opponent got 2557 votes.●
