great sacrifices for Freedom: Attique
Pakistan

RAWALPINDI: President All
Jammu and Kashmir M uslim
Conference Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan in a message on Jammu Martyrs Day, said
Friday that 6th November is a day of remembrance in the history of the State
of Jammu and Kashmir and reminds us of the magnificent sacrifices of those
great Kashmiri Muslims who laid down their lives for the freedom of the
State and its accession to Pakistan.
He said that the mission of those Kashmiris is still incomplete for which
the struggle would continue. Relating the sad incident that had occurred on
5th November, 1947, Sardar Attique Ahmed said that it was the height of
untold atrocities committed on the helpless Kashmiris by the Members of Sang
Party and the Dogra Army.
According to an agreed plan, the Kashmiris desirous of going to Pakistan
were told to board the buses lined on the road, near the Police Station
where the Kashmiris had taken refuge. Nonetheless, these hapless Kashmiris
boarded the buses in the hope of going to Pakistan. But destiny had planned
another vicious subterfuge for them. Instead of taking them to the road
leading to Pakistan, these buses were diverted towards the Jungles of Mawa,
where the heartless and spineless Dogras and the Sangis lay in ambush.
As soon as the buses reached the outskirts of these jungles, all hell broke
out and lakhs of unarmed and helpless Kashmiri Muslims were mercilessly
gunned downed without any distinction between men, women and children
regardless of their age, whose only fault was that they had opted for
Pakistan.
Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan said that the seed of freedom sowed and watered by
the sanguinity of these Kashmiris has yet to bloom and the mission started
by their sacrifices has yet to be completed as the atrocities committed by
the intransigent Indian Forces are ever on the increase. He said under these
circumstances, we will have to move every step very cautiously with a well
planned strategy and display extreme solidarity amongst our ranks.
To uphold the sanctity and the importance of this day, Sardar Attique Ahmed
Khan urged the Kashmiris all over the world to make a resolve and let it be
known that the sacrifices offered by these Kashmiris for the sacred mission
of the Accession of the State to Pakistan, would not be allowed to go
fruitless.
He said that the sacrifices of these Kashmiris for the cause of Pakistan and
the two nation theory are a beacon of light for the entire Muslim Ummah.
Pakistan is faced with a host of problems today and these dangers can be
dispelled only by strengthening the geographical and ideological frontiers
of the country and providing durable and everlasting stability.●
