All roads lead to Homes as Eid gets nearer in Pakistan
Pakistan Times National News Desk

ISLAMABAD: Most of the people in the federal capital have started leaving for their respective destinations to join their loved ones during Eid ul Fitr festivities.

With Eid likely to fall on either Sunday or Monday, some have already reached their ancestral homes to avoid the last minute rush. Those who have not yet, will queue up for hours to get a seat.

Government has announced three holidays on Eid that are sufficient for those whose native cities are located comparatively nearer to Islamabad.

It would be asking for too much to go home in Northern Areas, Sindh or Balochistan ‘for three days’.

The best option for people of remote areas are left with, is to move earlier. Preparation for hasty departure has given a considerable boost to business in weekly bazaars, shopping centres as well as transport.

Business in the capital registers a considerable rise at the close of Eid each year, but those going far away have to look for more necessary item, the tickets. They usually accomplish selling and buying before it gains momentum.

It is hard to get a seat now as transport companies started reservation of tickets since Ramazan-20.●
