3,000 Indian Sikh yatrees to visit Gurdwara Punja Sahib in Pakistan

LAHORE: More than 3,000 Indian Sikh yatrees are to arrive here on November 21 by three special trains to participate in the 535th birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak, founder of Sikh religion.

During the first leg of their visit the Yatrees will reach Hassanabdal to visit Gurdawara Punja Sahib. During their stay there the yatrees will perform religious rituals and visit sacred places of their religion.

On November 24, they will proceed to Nankana Sahib to participate in the birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak. The pilgrims will stay there for four days and visit places of worship, informed sources said.

On the last leg of their visit, the Sikh yatrees will reach the provincial capital and stay at Gurdawara Dera Sahib here. On November 30 they will return to India.

The officials of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) will receive the pilgrims at the Wahga railway station on their arrival here on November-21.●
