No differences on Troops
reduction: Indian Home Minister NEW DELHI (India): Turning down the charge, leveled by opposition party- BJP, Indian Home Minister Shivraj Patil Friday told Lok Sabha that there were no differences between the Prime Minister's Office and the Defence Ministry over the issue of troops reduction in Held Kashmir. "There are no differences" on this issue, Patil said in the parliament when BJP member Shivraj Singh Chauhan raised the issue in the zero hour. Responding to the allegations, Patil stated there were also "no differences" between his Ministry and the Defence Ministry on the assessment that infiltration from across the border had come down. Shivraj Patil appealed to members not to "mislead" the people as that would be contrary to the interest of national security. Speaker Somnath Chatterjee told members that debate would be held in the House next week on issues relating to national security.● |
