Protests as 2 killed in
indiscriminate firing in H-Kashmir

SRINAGAR: In occupied
Kashmir, protest was sparked in Sangam area of Islamabad district, when
Indian troops opened indiscriminate firing, martyring two persons.
People took to the streets in large number to demonstrate against this
military tyranny. An APHC delegation, led by Ghulam Nabi Sumji, visited the
area and took part in funeral of the martyrs. Addressing the demonstrators,
members of the delegation, reiterated that the liberation struggle will
continue despite stepped Indian state terrorism.
The Indian troops martyred another person in Mendhar area of Poonch
district. The troops of 29-Rashtriya Rifles exploded a grenade, critically
injuring one person in Palhallan area of Pattan, who is in the throes of
life and death in the hospital.
Thousands of enraged people of the area staged forceful anti-India
demonstration and blocked Srinagar-Baramula road for several hours.
An APHC delegation visited the affected area. One person is missing in
custody in Mattan area of Islamabad district.
An army Captain was injured in a landmine blast in Gambhir area of Rajouri
district in a landmine blast. Unknown persons hanged a villager to death
from a tree in Rajouri district. Another person, seriously injured by
unidentified gunmen, a few days earlier, died in a Baramula hospital.●
