Tennis star Kournikova and Iglesias marry: report

NEW YORK (US): Former Russian tennis star Anna Kournikova and long-time beau Enrique Iglesias have finally tied the knot, marrying at a secret ceremony in Mexico last month.

The latest issue of US Weekly magazine said Kournikova had shown up at a charity tennis event in Boca Raton, Florida on Sunday, wearing a wedding band on her ring finger.

"Enrique is great. Everything is awesome. We are married," Kournikova reportedly told onlookers.

Sources said Kournikova, 23, and the 29-year-old singer-son of Julio Iglesias were married a few weeks ago in Puerto Vallerta.

"It was a very small and secret wedding -- only family and a few very close friends were invited," a source told US Weekly. "Nobody was allowed to know."

The tennis beauty and Iglesias met when she appeared in the 2002 music video of the Latin crooner's hit "Escape." Kournikova retired from professional tennis in March, having never won a major tournament.●
