SRINAGAR: The Indian and
its puppet government in occupied Kashmir have not issued passport to
Hurriyat Conference Chairman Syed Ali Gilani to prevent him from attending
Conference on Kashmir being held in Islamabad, Pakistan.
KMS says that Syed Gilani's office contacted the passport office in Srinagar
today the officials informed that the matter concerned India's ministry of
Interior and therefore they cannot issue the passport.
Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned this attitude of the Indian and
puppet governments.
Resentment
Meanwhile, Hurriyat Conference while expressing grave concern over continued
detention of Jamaat-e-Islami leader Shaikh Mohammad Yousuf has urged
international human rights organizations to take stock of the situation.
Aged Shaikh Mohammad Yousuf has not been released despite court orders for
the same on Nov 16, 2004. He was subjected to excessive physical torture at
Hari Niwas interrogation Center in Srinagar and at sub-jail Baramulla.
Hurriyat Conference has vehemently condemned Indian army's barbarism in the
strongest words.●
