MMA waiting ARD response for
anti-govt movement

LAHORE: The MMA Deputy
Secretary General Hafiz Hussain Ahmed said on Monday that the religious
alliance was waiting for the ARD’s response regarding launching a decisive
anti-government movement either jointly or separately.
Responding to queries raised by reporters at the Lahore Press Club, JUI-F
MNA said although the MMA was acting upon its own protest mode till Jan-28
but had delayed schedule of decisive second round agitation movement due to
the ARD’s Jan-12 meeting after which decision to announce schedule would be
taken either with the ARD or alone.
Hafiz Hussain who presided over the coordination commitee meeting of Majlis
Tahafuz Khatam-Nabuwwat here on Sunday to finalize strategy regarding
religion column briefed the newsmen about decisions taken in the meeting.

Hafiz Hussain said the movement will be continued and demos will be
organized across the country on January-14.
Qazi Hussain Ahmed will lead the demonstration in Islamabad, while Maulana
Fazal-ur-Rehman in Peshawar, Liaquat Baloch in Lahore, Munawwar Hassan in
Karachi and Hafiz Hussain Ahmed in Quetta.
MMA central leader said that after ARD meeting on January-12, the
anti-uniform movement will be announced.
Responding a question he said MMA was prepared to hold talks with all
political parties on constitutional amendments passed from Bhutto period
till today.●
