31 killed in a bus accident in Indian Held Kashmir

JAMMU: Thirty one people were killed and 27 injured, 14 of them seriously, when a passenger bus they were travelling in rolled down into a gorge today in Udhampur district of Indian Held Kashmir.

The bus was on its way to Udhampur town from Ramnagar when it skidded off the road and fell into the 300-ft gorge at barman, official sources were quoted as saying.

Twenty-seven people were killed on the spot while three died on way to hospital and one in the hospital in Held Kashmir, the sources said.

The injured were admitted to Udhampur district hospital while four seriously injured were shifted to Government Medical College Hospital in Jammu, the sources added.●
