Low turn out in H-Kashmir polls drama; 3 injured in Blast

SRINAGAR: Maximum alert was sounded Sunday in south of occupied Kashmir on the occasion of the third phase of the so-called civic polls in Islamabad and Pulwama districts.

According to reports, all the polling stations were declared as hypersensitive. A low turn out was recorded as people stayed away from the polls farce in response to a boycott call by the APHC and other Hurriyat leaders.

3 CRPF personnel injured in grenade blast


In occupied Kashmir, three, Central Reserve Police Force, (CRPF) were injured when a grenade exploded in their bunker.

A civilian was martyred by Indian troops in a fake encounter at Gambir Muglan, Manjkote in Rajouri.

A defeated civic polls candidate, Shaikh Mohammad Amin of Babapora Zoonimar Srinagar, was injured when unidentified men fired upon him.

In another incident a village Defence Committee member committed suicide after shooting dead his wife and minor son in Kathua district of occupied Kashmir.●
