Senior Kashmiri leader Shiakh Abdul Aziz arrested

NEW DELHI (India): Prominent All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader and Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Shaikh Abdul Aziz has been arrested by Indian police in New Delhi.

He was arrested yesterday along with his associate Ghulam Nabi Darzi. Both of them were shifted to some unknown place.

Earlier, another leader of Peoples League, Ghulam Nabi Najjar was arrested in Srinagar.

APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in New Delhi strongly denounced the arrests and said that the action has been taken to stifle the voice of Kashmiri leadership.

He emphasized that the reasons given by Indian police for Shaikh Abdul Aziz's arrest were totally frivolous.●
