Srinagar-Muzaffarabad Bus Service

SRINAGAR: More Hurriyat
leaders have expressed satisfaction over resuming of Srinagar-Muzaffarabad
Bus Service. APHC constituents, Jamaat-e- Islami occupied Kashmir and Jammu
and Kashmir People's Movement are among those who hailed the decision today.
Addressing a muharram gathering in Karachi on telephone from Srinagar, Agha
Syed Hassan AlMoosavi maintained that the bus service would mitigate to a
considerable extent the miseries of Kashmiri people.
Another APHC leader, Naeem Ahmad Khan in an interview in Srinagar today said
that decision to resume Srinagar-Muzaffarabad link was a forward step
towards resolving Kashmir dispute.
Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement has hailed the resumption of
Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service and termed it as a victory of President
and Prime Minister of Pakistan and the people of Kashmir.
Leaders of Peoples Movement addressing an emergent meeting of the party
presided over by Abdul Hamid Mir here stressed the need of introducing bus
service on Jammu-Sailkot route without passport and visa. This would
facilitate reunion of twenty Lakh Kashmiris living in Panjab, Pakistan with
their families on the other side, they added.
Condemning Indian army's state terrorism the meeting demanded an immediate
end to it. The meeting also stressed that India should create a favorable
atmosphere enabling the Kashmiris to decide their future according to their
wishes and U.N resolutions.
Peoples Movement leaders who addressed the meeting included Mohammad Farooq
Khan from Poonch, Mohammad Rafiq Butt from Rajouri, Zafar Khurshid Mirza
form Budhal, Ghulam Nabi Mir from Darhal and Qazi Mohammad Farooq from Mandi.
Akhtar Hussain and Shahid Salim also addressed the gathering.●
