Arrangements being made to start Kashmir
bus service ISLAMABAD: The Azad Kashmir government has approved Rs. 120 million for the construction and rehabilitation of a 62 km road to link Muzaffarabad with Srinagar. The initiative was taken following the decision by India and Pakistan to start Muzaffarabad-Srinagar bus service from April 7. The road would be made as wide as 24 feet and at Chakothi, an immigration office and a restaurant would also be constructed, decided a high level meeting presided over by the AJK Chief Secretary Kashif Murtaza. A review committee has also been constituted which would present essential recommendations regarding the bus service to the government.● |
