Pakistan Times Kashmir Desk

SRINAGAR: All Parties Hurriyat Conference while condemning the arrest of Senior APHC leader Shaikh Abdul Aziz and his associate Ghulam Nabi Darzi in New Delhi urged human rights and justice loving organizations to pressurize India for immediate release of arrested Kashmiri leaders.

The condemnation of Shiakh Aziz's arrest was voiced at a press conference addressed by Hurriyat leader Mohammad Salim Zargar in Srinagar on Saturday. Other Hurriyat Conference leaders Mukhtar Ahmad Sufi, Mian Manzoor Ahmad, Advocate Abdul Hamid and Perviaz Ahmad Dar were also present at the press conference.

Salim Zargar said that Shaikh Abdul Aziz had gone to New Delhi for medical treatment and to inquire about the health of APHC chairman Syed Ali Gilani where he was arrested by the Indian police after framing false charge against him. Zargar added, that India was bent upon stifling the freedom movement of Kashmir by harassing and arresting Kashmiri leader through its secret agencies.

APHC considers the arrest of Shaikh Aziz and Ghulam Nabi Darzi a pre-planned conspiracy, he added.

Salim Zargar reiterated that APHC firmly believed in resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with U.N resolutions and through tripartite dialogue. Hurriyat Conference will never allow any conspiracy to succeed against political resolution of the issue and was determined to continue its struggle till its logical end, he added.

He stressed all Kashmiri leaders including Shaikh Abdul Aziz besides Masrrat Aalam, Firdous Ahmad Shah, Shabbir Ahmad Khan, Zamruda Habib, Mohammad Ashraf Laya, General Musa, Ghulam Ahmad Mir and Ghulam Nabi Najjar should be immediately released from jails.
