Seven killed, 25 injured as bus turns turtle in S Pakistan

FAISALABAD: As many as seven persons were crushed to death while 25 sustained injuries when a bus turned turtle while negotiating a sharp turn on a link road near Talwandi (Chak No.108-RB), about 19 kilometer from here Thursday morning.

A Bus (FDC 833) carrying workers from the nearby villages of Sikhanwala Chak was heading towards Faisalabad but while passing through a portion of the link road in Talwandi, the driver Babar lost control of the vehicle which rolled down six feet.

SHO of Chak Jhumra police station said six passengers from Talwandi, conductor Basharat Ali of Paharang were crushed and died on the spot while scores of other sustained injuries. The injured were rushed to Allied hospital where medical aid is being given to them.

Those killed have been identified as—Abdur Rasheed, Muhammad Rashid, Haneef, Muhammad Jamal, Muhammad Farhad, Muhammad Sarwar and conductor Basharat Ali.●
