Musharraf hosts dinner reception for participants of IIU Convocation

ISLAMABAD: President General Pervez Musharraf hosted on Friday a dinner in honour of participants of the third Convocation of International Islamic University.

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, former Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Prince El-Hassan bin Talal of Jordan and Dr Ahmed Kathara, representative of former South African President Nelson Mandela, attended the reception.

Chairman Senate, Speaker National Assembly, Members of the federal Cabinet and foreign envoys based in the capital also attended the dinner.

Former Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahatir Muhammad and Prince Hassan bin Talal of Jordan arrived here Friday evening.

The distinguished guests were received by Senate Chairman Muhammadmian Soomro and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Khushroo Bakhtiar, High Commissioner and the Ambassador of their respective countries. Two children presented them bouquets.●
