recovers from heart ailment

ISLAMABAD: Veteran Kashmiri
leader, Sardar Muh ammad
Abdul Qayyum Khan is now, fairly in good health and would expectantly be
relieved from hospital in a day or two.
With this update, the President of the All Jammu & Kashmir Muslim
Conference, Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan told ‘Pakistan Times’ late on
Saturday night that the venerated leader of the Himalayan State has been
shifted to a VIP suite from CCU of the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology
[AFIC] in Rawalpindi and is now accessible to his admirers.
Sardar Qayyum, popularly known as ‘Mujahid-e-Awwal’ was admitted at the AFIC
almost a week ago after having felt pain in the chest.
A team of experienced and highly capable physicians and surgeons undertook
comprehensive medical check up of the herald of the Kashmiri’s cause and
advised for him a complete bed rest, with no meeting with any-one.
Yet this embargo was lifted, the moment Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan, who is
also the Supreme Head of the All Jammu & Kashmir Muslim Conference, the
ruling party in Azad Kashmir was shifted to a private room of the VIP zone
of the hospital, late on Saturday.
Feeling Quite Well
‘Yes, Alhamd-o-Lilla, he is now feeling quite well and is likely to get back
home, the Mujahid Manzil in Satellite Town’ was the reply of Sardar Attique
when asked about the latest position of the health of the much-admired
Kashmiri leader.
Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, the chief of the AJKMC, who was on an overseas
visit cut-short his voyage and flew back to Pakistan from the UK, soon after
hearing the news of the ailment of his distinguished father, the
Mujahid-e-Awwal.●
