TeleCard to launch LDI in

KARACHI: TeleCard Ltd (TCL)
will shortly launch Long Distance and International (LDI) calling service in
the country, it was learnt through reliable sources.
Sources revealed that TCL has deployed Next Generation Network, comprising
at least 20 POPs to deliver the advanced solution for LDI services in the
region.
In addition to the traditional long distance voice telephony services, the
TeleCard LDI infrastructure will offer specialised applications and services
including Virtual Network Operations, Switch Less Resale, Toll free and
Premium Rate services, Conferencing and Secure Networks.
The TeleCard LDI will also provide collect calling, follow-me services for
international travellers and services catering to calling card companies,
call centres, payphone companies, hotels, banks, airlines, logistics and
distribution companies and others.
Nationwide WLL commenced: TeleCard Limited has commenced GO CDMA Wireless
local loop (WLL) telephone service nation wide, APP adds.
Fazal Hussain, Group CEO TeleCad, launched the service. Earlier this year GO
CDMA service was launched in Karachi and recently Quetta also became online.
The service has been launched after the company received commencement
certificates from Pakistan telecommunication Authority (PTA) for the entire
country.
Together with the local loop, long distance-International, and Wireless
Local Loop, TeleCard is on the verge of transforming itself from a pay phone
operator company to being the first private sector integrated telecom
solution provider.
