MMA Chief Qazi recovers fully after heart surgery

LAHORE: The chief of Mutahida Majlis-e-Amal [MMA] and Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Qazi Hussain Ahmad has now completely recovered after his heart surgery.

He offered Friday prayer at Mansoorah mosque, held meetings with guests and people who had come to see him and expressed gratitude for all those who prayed for his health. Meanwhile a number of political leaders have called on him.

ARD secretary general and PML [N] central leader Zafar Iqbal Jhagra met him with a five-member delegation and conveyed a message from PML [N] chief Nawaz Sharif.

He also presented a bouquet to Qazi on behalf of Nawaz Sharif.

Political Situation


The PML [N] delegation discussed current political situation also. The delegation comprised Pervaiz Malik MNA, Nawaz Sharif’s secretary Mian Asad, PML [N] Lahore president Mian Hanif, Gulfraz Beg Information secretary, Majid Zahoor Addl Information Secretary, Finance Secretary Mian Tariq and Mujib Sartaj joint secretary ARD. During the meeting Senator Ishaq Dar also rang Qazi.

MNA Shabbir Ahmad Khan and NLF president Merajuddin Khan also met Qazi Sahab.

Leaders Meet

Meanwhile, JI leaders Mian Tufail, Chaudhri Rehmat Ilahi, Ch Aslam Salimi and Syed Munawar Hassan also called on Qazi Sahab and remained with him for some time.

ARD leader Nawabzada Mansoor Ali Khan called on Qazi on Friday evening with a delegation. He said ARD supported MMA on April-2 strike and both the alliances were unanimous on sending the army back to its prime responsibilities.

Pakistani doctor in Detroit, US, Asim Hussain, Canadian businessman Nasimullah Butter and a delegation of Punjab University teachers also called on Qazi sahib.●
