While talking to news men after the supreme council meeting the MMA President Qazi Hussain Ahmad blamed that the government "for using delaying tactics for holding local government elections".

He alleged that the government is using unfair means for the success of ruling party candidates in the forthcoming local government elections.

He also announced that fresh general elections to be held under the supervision of General Pervez Musharraf would not be acceptable.

However, he did not reply to the question regarding boycott of local government elections by the MMA if they are held under the supervision of the present government.
