Quality Education

THE government of Punjab is hard to spread education in the province and is making many changes in the field of education. The Ministry of Education is trying its best to make education common and bring it within the range of every person.

For this reason it is granting scholarships and providing books, giving incentives to families to send their daughters to school. And in this way it is generating interest among those belonging to lower-income groups to acquire education.

This is working to enhance the rate of literacy in the province.

However, the quality of education at government institutions is on the decline. These students are not able to compete internationally or even at national level with students from private sectors.

They are not able to compete properly with students from English-medium schools who have access to more information.

Similarly, students from private institutions are more confident than the students from government institutions.

Those students who get the chance rush to get admission in private schools for “better” education, but the high fee usually keeps many away.

To avoid students from developing complexes, the Ministry of Education should concentrate on giving quality education.●
