US Double Standard

AFTER the recent report by the US State Department, which spoke of poor conditions of human rights in Pakistan, it is now obvious to the world that in spite of the flaws, America favours those who favour its own policies.

Everything about Pakistan is satisfactory for the United States so long as we back it.

But then Washington becomes annoyed with Pakistan when it refuses to send troops to Iraq, to hand over Dr. Abdul Qadeer to American investigators, and to support US policies against Iran.

This report should be an eye-opener for our nation, particularly the ruling class.●
