Pakistan PM embarks on 4-nation tour on Thursday

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister
Shaukat Aziz is leaving
on
Thursday on a four-nation tour of South East Asian countries. The week-long
visit would take him to Malaysia, Brunei Darusalam, Thailand and Singapore.
In Malaysia, the Prime Minister would review the progress made on the
decisions taken during the visit of his Malaysian counterpart to Pakistan.
He would deliver keynote
address at Asian Leadership Institute and address Pakistan-Malaysia Business
Forum.
In Brunei, the Prime Minister would call on Sultan of Brunei and exchange
views on bilateral, regional and international issues of common interest.
Address to Biz Forum
He will also address a business forum. During his stay in Thailand, Shaukat
Aziz would hold in-depth discussions with the Thai Prime Minister on ways to
further develop bilateral relations. He would address a forum and a
gathering of Thai businessmen.
In Singapore, the Prime Minister will have meetings with leaders of that
country and discuss ways and means to further enhance cooperation between
the two countries in economy, trade, investment, defence and culture.
Agreements and MOUs are also expected to be signed between Pakistan and the
four countries during the visit of the Prime Minister. The visit is part of
Pakistan’s strategic vision of Look East Asia to build new linkages with the
ASEAN countries.●
