Jalal ud Din, Via email

FEW weeks back I visited Islamabad first time and I was really amazed to see the Taxi system there.

Fares were even less than the rates Riksha drivers are charging in Lahore. Generally bargaining with Taxi drivers in Islamabad is not an option.

Taxi’s in Lahore generally cost the double amount the Rikshaws are charging in Lahore so generally people go for Rikshaw to save the money. But Riksaws are just like monsters.

Their noise and smoke is a big problem now. I would like to appeal to the Government to ban the Rikshaw and give soft loans to them so they can buy taxi’s.●
