Massive military precautions underway in occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Massive military precautions are underway all across occupied Kashmir, particularly in Srinagar to prevent large scale anti-India demonstrations and to ensure safety at sensitive spots and military installations on the Indian Independence Day on August-15.

Such military measures are being witnessed on the occasion every year but his time the operation has started two weeks ahead of the Indian Independence Day.

Tight security measures are being taken around Bakhshi Stadium, the venue of the official function. Military and paramilitary contingents have been deployed on all roads leading to Srinagar.

All public and private transports, entering the city are being thoroughly checked and more road barricades have been erected.

Search and frisking in areas around Bakhshi Stadium is intensified. Military personnel are also being positioned on top floors of houses and other buildings in the areas.
