Earthquakes jolts Clifton, DHA areas in Karachi

KARACHI: Earthquakes have struck the Clifton and DHA areas of Karachi, which has created fear and panic among the residents.

The intensity of the quake on the Richter scale has been measured at 4.2 however no losses have been reported.

After the quake fear and panic has gripped people at the coastal areas. The quake measuring centres of the met office have confirmed that tremors did have taken place however nothing has been found about its center and its intensity. The experts are analyzing the intensity of the quakes.

According to the met office, quake effects were also felt in the Hindukash range the intensity of which was 4.4 on the Richter scale.

It should be noted that quakes were felt two weeks before at Karachi’s coastal areas and Balochistan’s coastal areas are said to be their center.●
