Photojournalist beaten, injured by troops in Srinagar

SRINAGAR (IHK): In occupied Kashmir, a photojournalist was ruthlessly beat up and injured by Indian troops in Budshah Chowk, Srinagar.

The photojournalist, Iftikar Ahmad, was taking pictures of protest demonstrators in the Chowk on Friday, when BSF personal pointing guns towards the protesters to open fire. Photojournalist took the pictures of the BSF in action.

BSF personal rushed towards him and beat him with rifle butts and seriously injured him.

The injured photojournalist was rescued by nearby people. He was immediately rushed to Srinagar Hospital, where he was treated as his arm and upper part of the leg were badly wounded.●
