Kashmiri Leader Yasin Malik arrives
Pakistan for solidarity with quake victims ISLAMABAD: Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Yasin Malik reached here Monday evening along with relief goods to express solidarity with Pakistan's quake affected people. The visit of Yasin Malik is to express solidarity with the earthquake affected people of Azad Kashmir and many areas of Pakistan. Yasin Malik will distribute relief goods among affectees during the visit to the affected areas. The famous pro-independent Kashmiri leader suddenly arrived here, saying he had come as a social worker to help relief efforts in the earthquake-stricken areas of Azad Kashmir and the NWFP. He told in a telephone interview that he had brought aid worth Rs10 million from the Indian-held Kashmir to contribute to the relief work in AJK and NWFP. Secretary-general of the Yasin Malik faction of JKLF, Rafiq Dar, said that Malik had come to Pakistan by air from New Delhi and relief goods would arrive in a couple of days.● |
