Panorama Center inferno gutted several offices in Karachi

KARACHI: The offices of a construction company located in Panorama Centre here in Saddar area were completely gutted in the wake of a fire breaking out on Monday.

The offices of Baloch Construction Company placed at 5th floor of Panorama Centre on Raja Ghaznafar Ali Road in Saddar area here mysteriously caught fire Monday early morning at 5.00 A.M.

The blaze soon engulfed the entire offices spread over several hundred yards, as told by Fire Brigades, which reaching there on information controlled the fire with the help of over a dozen of fire-fighting vehicles after three hours of struggle.

By that time, however, all the offices situated on the top-floor were completely gutted.

Police said that there was no loss of life in the blaze, while the property losses were being assessed. These offices had caught fire earlier also on Sunday afternoon, nearly 15 hours prior to this incident and, thereafter, power connection of these offices were cut off.

Fire Brigades and police on initial investigation declared this an act of some miscreants. Chief Fire Officer, Kazim Ali told that the fire didn’t break out accidentally, as most probably the fire was set on to burn the records of the offices over there.●
