Indian troops kill activist in held-Kashmir

SRINAGAR (IHK): The Indian troops killed a suspected activist near Bandipore on Friday.

The troops were searching for the suspects who shot dead Major Gopi Rathore and injured two soldiers of the Indian army late on Thursday.

Spokesman for the Indian army, deployed in IHK, Vijay Batra said, "The searches followed an encounter, which ended on Friday and we have so far found the corpse of a man, believed to be involved in the ambush."●
