RAWALPINDI: India will
share findings of an ongoing investigation into Samjhota Express attack with
Pakistan at the March 6 meeting of the joint anti-terror mechanism in
Islamabad, the Indian High Commissioner said Wednesday.
Satyabrota Pala told reporters that a list of passengers on the train on the
day the attack took place could not be provided to Pakistan because the
authorities were still trying to collect record about travelers who were in
unreserved coaches.
He said the tragic incident had not cast a shadow over the peace process
which shows commitment of both the governments to make the bilateral
composite dialogue successful.
The Indian High Commissioner spoke to reporters after a meeting with a
delegation of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the chamber's
office in Rawalpindi.
During the meeting he said there was good potential to enhance trade between
the two countries and Indian businessmen were keen to invest in Pakistan.
Satyabrota said that communication improvement, exchange of information,
better road and railways links, enhanced coordination in banking sector and
relaxation in visa policy of the two countries were necessary to expand
bilateral trade volume.
He said Pakistan has many attractive locations for film-making and the
Indian Bollywood companies were interested in shooting films there.
The diplomat said that Pakistani contractors and builders could take
advantage of investment opportunities available in India.
He said there was also bright scope for enhancing cooperation in tourism,
