Power load shedding increases in Pakistan

LAHORE: The spell of power load shedding in nearly all small and large cities of Pakistan is in progress owing to the shortage of 750 Mega Watts to the Wapda.

The officials said the production of hydel and thermal electricity went down spurring the duration of power load shedding to three hours, adding the power load shedding span would be widened as the demands increases.

Meantime, the people and the trade circles are quite concerned over this situation and demand that concrete steps be taken in this connection and in case there is no getting away from the power outages, it should be done but after prior notices.

PEPCO sources said the attempts are afoot to raise the power production from IPs to curtail load shedding span and improve the situation.●
