ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani on Tuesday sai d
the Pakistani youth have great potential to excel in all
fields and bring laurels for the country with their hard
work and dedication. He was speaking at a ceremony held to
recognize the meritorious achievement of Ali Moin Nawazish,
a student who made new history by securing 21 As out of 23
in the A Level examination.
The Prime Minister who has already announced Pride of
Performance for Ali Moin Nawazish to be conferred on
upcoming Pakistan Day, appreciated the student for bringing
good name to the country at international level. He said Ali
Moin of Roots School System, had shown that Pakistani youth
were capable of making excellent achievements in all fields
of life, if provided ample opportunities.
He announced one million rupees for Ali Moeen as
acknowledgment of his academic achievement. The Prime
Minister said Pakistan is greatly blessed with natural and
human resources, and stressed the need to fully utilize
them. He said the government was aware of the importance of
education in making the country a developed and prosperous
state, and would set up a knowledge-based society.
The Prime Minister invited the learned scholars and
intelligentsia to help the government in devising a
comprehensive policy on education in accordance with
international standards. He also mentioned the role of
private educational sector in successfully expanding the
domain of knowledge in the country. He said the government
had already initiated several educational projects and asked
the private sector to join hands with the government for an
effective outcome on education.
“We intend to take steps with private sector on the quality
and regulatory framework of education,” he said. The Prime
Minister extended heartiest felicitations to the management
and students of Roots School System for their contribution
towards education sector and for imparting quality education
to its students.
Gilani said on receiving the news of Ali Moin Nawazish’s
achievement, he immediately telephoned him and appreciated
his meritorious performance and extended invitation to stay
in Prime Minister House as a guest.
