BAGHDAD: At least ten
people were killed in bomb attacks in the Iraqi capital and
around the country on Sunday, security officials said.
Five civilians and a security guard were killed and seven
others wounded when a bomb targeting oil installation guards
exploded in the southern oil hub of Basra, police said.
In Baghdad, a civil servant working at the interior ministry
was among two people killed when a magnetic bomb attached to a
car blew up in District Adhamiyah.
Eight other people were wounded by the blast in the former Al-Qaeda
stronghold.
Earlier on Sunday, at least 15 people were wounded in a
car-bomb attack at a marketplace near the northern city of
Mosul, police said. The attack took place in Al-Gayara.
